Wilma Olive Wilkinson, age 97, of Boscobel formerly of Mt. Hope passed away on Sunday morning November 25, 2018 at the Boscobel Care and Rehabilitation. Wilma was born on May 7, 1921 in Grant Co., WI the daughter of Edward and Ruth (Wilkinson) Rewey. She was united in marriage to Loyd “Buzz” Wilkinson on July 3, 1936.
Wilma worked at the Mt. Hope School lunchroom and the River Ridge lunchroom. She was also employed at O’Kane’s Truck Stop in Fennimore. Wilma enjoyed bowling, square dancing, and playing cards at Home-A-Gins.
Wilma is survived by her children; William “Billy” Wilkinson of Mt. Hope, Jeanette Hardy of Boscobel, Mary Ann Wilkinson of Mohave Valley, AZ, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, only living brother Dick (Betsy) Rewey of McFarland, brother-in-law Roger “Buck” (Ada) Brandemuehl of Texas and sister-in-law June Rewey of Dodgeville.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Loyd “Buzz” Wilkinson on May 4, 1981, sisters; Edna Nichols, Myrna Newhouse, Mary Lou Brandemuehl, brothers John Rewey and Clark Rewey, sister-in-laws Eleanor Rewey, Glennie Rewey, brother-in-law Keith Nichols, son-in-law Lloyd Hardy, daughter-in-law Catherine “Kitty” Wilkinson, grandsons Timothy Wilkinson and Tedd Wilkinson.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday afternoon Nov. 28, 2018 at the Hermitage Cemetery in Mt. Hope, WI with a lunch and time of fellowship to follow at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. The Larson Family Funeral Home of Fennimore is assisting the family.
