Myrna V. Croft

Myrna V. (Stich) Croft, age 100, made her final passage peacefully on Friday morning April 5, 2019. She was born on August 2, 1918 and was a lifelong resident of Lancaster, WI. Myrna owned Croft’s Shur-Sav grocery store with her husband, Wilford “Bill” Croft.   She enjoyed travelling, theater, music, and golf. Mastery as a seamstress extended to her work with arts and crafts, especially with seasonal decorations. She was known for her joy for living - entertaining, her gardening green thumb, clogging, square dancing, yodeling, sweet tooth, and homemade fudge. Myrna was an active church member for over 80 years, a member of Esther Circle and Eastern Star, and a Charter member of the Lancaster Hospital Board.

Myrna is survived by three children; Candace, Dennis, and Sandra (Lyle) Schneider; a brother, Leonard Stich; and 13 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill on May 25, 1985, three sisters; Bernice Funk, Thelma Hale, Helen Speltz, and three brothers; Percy, Ernest, and William Stich.

Memorial service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday afternoon, April 11, 2019, at the Lancaster United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at the church on Thursday. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Hillside Cemetery in Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations in the name of Myrna Croft to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The Larson Family Funeral Home of Fennimore is assisting the family.
