Michael David Turner

Michael TurnerLivingston – Michael David Turner, age 47 of Livingston, died unexpectedly on Monday March 24, 2014 at his residence in Livingston.  Michael was born on Sept. 20, 1966 in Dubuque, IA the son of Rev. Floyd and Dorothy (Horkheimer) Turner.  He married Brenda Weist on June 15, 1985 in Cassville, WI.

Michael graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1985.  He was the world’s best dad and loved spending time with his family.  He enjoyed fishing, shopping, working on arts and crafts, traveling, and watching his favorite TV show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Michael was very close to his lord and spent time reading the bible and listening to Christian artist Keith Green.  Every year Michael looked forward to celebrating the Christmas season with his family. He cherished the time spent together and seeing the joy it brought to everyone he loved.  Michael was a very loving and caring man whose guidance and comfort will forever be cherished.

Michael was survived by his three children; Hollie (Robert) Nihles, Bethany Turner, and Dylan Turner all of Fennimore, granddaughter Kalayah Nihles, life partner Daniel Kroll of Livingston, father Rev. Floyd Turner of Bloomfield Manor, sisters; Becky (Kenneth) Cornell of Paddock Lake, WI, Rachael (Thomas) Archibald of Redwing, MN, Joyce (Godwin) Teed of Cincinnati, OH, and Janette Biermann of Texas brothers; James (Rita) Turner of Madison, WI, Stephan (Patricia) Turner of Cincinnati, OH, Floyd Mark Turner of Barneveld, WI and John (Glenda Kay) Turner of Soldiers Grove, WI, ex-wife Brenda Taylor of Fennimore, and many special nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy, sister Ruth Deiter, infant brother John Turner, nephew Joshua Goke, and niece Stephanie Turner.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday March 29, 2014 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort with burial to follow in the Rock Church Cemetery in rural Livingston.  A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon.
