William G. Reiser

William “Bill” George Reiser passed away peacefully on July 23, 2017 in Austin, TX.  Bill was born on January 14, 1934 in Platteville to George and Alva (Arthur) Reiser.

Bill was a graduate of Lancaster High School, The University of Wisconsin Madison, and Roosevelt University where he received his MBA.  He married Donna Addison on June 13, 1954 in Montfort; they were married for over 57 years before Donna passed in 2011.

Bill retired from Cuna Mutual Insurance Society as a Senior VP after many years of service.  Bill and Donna raised their family in Middleton.   Bill served as Treasurer during the campaigns that brought Middleton its first swimming pool and EMS service.  He was an avid sports fan and loved the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers. He also loved to travel and visited many countries with his wife.

Bill is survived by his daughter Renee Schilling of Mesquite, TX; daughter Shelli and son-in-law Kenneth Hope of Austin, TX; son Bill and daughter-in-law Heather of Baraboo, WI; and granddaughter Heather and grandson-in-law Justin Bolner of Dallas, TX.  He is also survived by his best friend, his dog Boo, who was by his side when he passed.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Donna; his parents; his in-laws Everett and Anna Addison; brother-in-law’s Lyle, Loren, and Neil Addison and their wives; and his sister Virginia.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Montfort United Methodist Church with burial of the cremains to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Montfort. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the church on Saturday Morning. The Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort is assisting the family.
