Todd A. Lindauer, age 57 of Dodgeville died on Wednesday morning June 26, 2013 at his residence in Dodgeville. He was born on Sept. 17, 1955 in Dodgeville the son of Homer Alan “Shorty” and LaVaughn “Toddy” (Cordes) Lindauer. Todd married Beverly Ray on Jan. 3, 1983 who preceded him in death in 1998. He later married Shelia Gates on Dec. 17, 2005.
Todd graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1974. Following graduation, he worked for various farmers throughout the area. Todd then went to work for Land’s End of Dodgeville for numerous years until moving to Avoca. Todd was employed at PIC in Spring Green until moving to rural Dodgeville in 1998. He became a self taught and detailed orientated architect, electrician and painter and was not afraid of a challenging project. Todd had a deep love for his wife, children, and grandchildren; and supported all of their endeavors along with recently attending his son’s wedding in CA. He also loved the outdoors spending time on his property being with nature and his beloved dog Roger along with cheering on the Green Bay Packer’s. Todd’s willingness to give to his family and others will be forever cherished.
Todd is survived by his wife Sheila Lindauer of Dodgeville, children; Rochelle (Steve) Glonek of Dodgeville, Ryan (Elizabeth) Hill of San Diego, CA, and Brandon (Natalie) Lindauer of San Diego, CA, step-children; Joshua (Becky) Albrecht of Hubertus, WI, Mariah (Rob Gansen) Schwartz of Prairie du Sac, WI, Jessica (Mike Seltzner) Schwartz of Sun Prairie, WI, and Nora (Mike) Burturm of Neosho, MO, four grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, siblings; Paulette DiVall of Montfort, Peg (Paul) Holman of Montfort, and Pam Spahn of Madison.
Todd was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Beverly Lindauer, brother-in-laws; David DiVall and Pat Spahn, and a niece Tiffany Spahn.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The Soman-Larson Funeral Home of Montfort is assisting the family.
