Lancaster, WI-Thomas James Wall, age 65, died unexpectedly on Monday March 31, 2014 at his residence in North Lancaster Township, Grant Co., WI. Tom was born on March 13, 1949 in Lamont, IA the son of Clement Sr. & Virginia (Adams) Wall. He was united in marriage to Vivian Root on April 24, 1971 in Lancaster, WI.
Following graduation from Lancaster High School in 1967, Tom worked for Kelly Springfield in Freeport, IL and then farmed on the family farm. He later worked for Frito Lay in Monroe before returning back to the family farm while also working at Skyline in Lancaster; retiring in 2005 due to his declining health. Tom enjoyed being a father and spending time in the outdoors hunting, shooting B-B guns and throwing the football around with family and friends. He also enjoyed gunsmithing, antique tractors, making homemade bread and yogurt, listening to Christian radio, and was a self-taught musician who could sing and play instruments ranging from the violin to the trumpet. Tom was a very simple man whose love of family and strong faith in God will forever be cherished.
Thomas is survived by his seven children; Tabatha (Sam) Beiruti of Lansing IL, Lyndee (Bruce) Woodliff of Huntington, IN, Shannon (Aaron) Simon of Lancaster, Jesse Wall, Isaac (Britney) Wall, Charity Wall, and Jacob Wall all of Fennimore, 18 grandchildren, siblings; Kay (Neil) Knutson of Milwaukee, Ann (Jerry) Schwendinger of Lancaster, Jerry F. Wall of Oelwein, IA, Rosalee (Dan) Lorenz of Prairie du Chien, and Daniel Wall of Lancaster, sister-in-law Kathy Wall of Lancaster, and brother-in-law Ronald Bast of Greendale, WI.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, brother Clement Wall Jr., and sister Mary Bast.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday April 5, 2014 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore with burial to follow in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in North Lancaster Twsp., Grant Co. Pastor Mark Dieter of the Lancaster Bethlehem E & R Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday April 4, 2014 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Saturday morning.
