Richard Lee Scott, age 53, of Boscobel/Fennimore, died unexpectedly on Thursday evening Nov. 23, 2017, at Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital. Richard was born on Oct. 1, 1964, in Boscobel.
Rich graduated from Fennimore High School with the class of 1983. He then served in the US Army before receiving a degree in Wastewater Management from Kirkwood College. Rich had a deep love for his family and was a beloved dad, son, brother, grandpa and best friend. He enjoyed cheering on the Packers, painting little war hammers, kayaking, riding his motorcycle, driving truck and riding with his dad in the milk truck. He continued his giving ways by being an organ and tissue donor.
Richard is survived by his parents, Sandy and Jim Knapp, daughters; Sabrina and Shawnee Scott, sons; Rory, Rie, Rich and Ryder Scott, granddaughter Dani partner and best friend Dawn Dechow, brothers; Randy (Crystal) Scott and Rob (Angie) Scott and many other loving family and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his father Eugene Scott and his grandparents.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Saturday Dec. 2, 2017 at the Fennimore United Methodist Church with burial of the cremated remains to follow in the Prairie Cemetery in Fennimore. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M until time of service at the church on Saturday morning.
