Nancy Jane (Meininger) Horn, age 55, of Fennimore, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 peacefully at home after a two year battle with brain cancer. Nancy was born on July 8, 1960 to James and Elizabeth (Treder) Meininger in Toledo, OH and moved to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin when she was five years old. She attended Goodrich High School where she met her best friend and husband, Charles (Chuck) Horn. Herman was born on June 2, 1924 in Midland, South Dakota to Herman and Mertie (Kaiser) Wachter. He married Bernadine Freymiller on Oct. 20, 1946 in Prairie du Chien, WI. Herman grew up in Midland South Dakota before moving to the Millville area at the age of 14. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1944-1946. Montfort – Ervin M. Prochaska, age 82, of Montfort, died on Saturday morning Dec. 26, 2015 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville. Ervin was born on Oct. 14, 1933 in Castle Rock Township, Grant County, WI the son of Ed and Mayme (Nechvatal) Prochaska. He married Jean Schultz in 1963 in Greendale, WI. Ervin excelled in football and basketball at Montfort High School, graduating in 1952. Following graduation, he farmed with his brother Lavern on Snowbottom Road until joining the U.S. Army in 1954. Shirley “LaVon” Hahn, age 92, of Fennimore, died on Tuesday morning Dec. 15, 2015 at Morningside Assisted Living in Lancaster. LaVon was born on June 6, 1923 in Grant County, WI the daughter of George and Gladys (Hickin) Foreyt. She married Cletus Hahn on Oct. 7, 1944 in Milwaukee. Laurel was born on July 25, 1921 in Clayton Township Crawford County, WI the son of Fred and Bessie (Huffman) Mook. He was united in marriage to Nelda Stimpson on Jan. 3, 1947.
