Nancy C. Shaw, age 80, of Fennimore/Preston, died on Thursday July 28, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Lancaster. Nancy was born on May 19, 1936, in Indiana the daughter of Arthur and Gladys (Loggins) Bishop. She married Vernon Shaw on Jan. 15, 1960 in Blue Mounds, WI.
Following graduation from high school in Indiana, Nancy moved to Chicago, IL and then Madison, WI where she met her husband Vernon. Shortly after being married, Nancy and Vernon moved to Preston, WI and Nancy began working for Rayovac in Fennimore. She retired after almost 30 years of dedicated service. Following Vernon’s death in 2005, Nancy moved to Sunset Fields Apartments in Fennimore where she made many friends and shared many laughs. She enjoyed gardening, reading and volunteering at the Meal Site and Doll and Toy Museum. Spending time with her loving family was most important to Nancy. She was a caring and loving mother and grandmother and her contagious laugh will forever be cherished.
Nancy is survived by her two children; Joe (Carlene) Shaw of Richland Center and Brian (Kalleen) Shaw of Fennimore, eight grandchildren; Stephanie, Chris (Jessica), Stacey, Joshua (Ashley), Cody, Shelby, Chloe and Hannah, two great-grandchildren; Quinton and Jordy, daughter-in-law Darlene Shaw of Adams Friendship, brother Leonard (Linda) Bishop of Florida, sister Mary Lynn Dalka of Indiana and several nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernon on Aug. 12, 2005 and son Harold Shaw.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday August 27, 2016 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Private burial of the cremains will be held at a later date in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Wingville Twsp., Grant Co., WI.
