Loralee I. Fritsch

Loralee FritschLoralee Ida Fritsch, 62, of Cobb, WI passed away Thursday evening June 25, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on February 1, 1953 in Janesville, WI to August and Laura (Beulow) Ehret. Loralee grew up on a farm in rural Avalon, WI and attended school in Clinton, WI. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1975. Loralee moved to Cobb in 1976 where she was employed at Iowa Grant School District as a Home Economics teacher.

On August 19, 1978 she married Bruce Fritsch in Clinton, WI. Loralee and Bruce made their home and raised their children in Cobb. Loralee retired from teaching at Iowa Grant School District in 2007. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Cobb. She was active in the community teaching Sunday school and in Future Homemakers of America (FHA). Loralee enjoyed tending to her flowers, and was an avid fan of, and enjoyed watching, the Green Bay Packers, Badger athletics and the Chicago Bulls, particularly Michael Jordan. She loved watching her three boys participate in school sports. Loralee liked making her grandchildren smile, and took the statement, “if mom and dad say no, ask grandma” literally.

Loralee is survived by her loving husband Bruce Fritsch, three children; Brandon (Megan) Fritsch, Cottage Grove, Ryan (fiancé Katrina) Fritsch, Milwaukee, Dan (Amy) Fritsch, Baraboo, six grandchildren; Bradyn, Levi, Gemma, Micah, Nadia, Emma, brother, Allen “A.J.” (Linda) Ehret, Avalon, WI, sister-in-law, Donna (John) Ehret, Janesville, WI, mother-in-law, Lorraine Fritsch of Cobb, brother and sister-in-laws; Stephen (Eileen “Ike”) Fritsch of Cobb, Susan (John) Sutter of Burnett, and Sandra (Steven) Ravnum of Ettrick, several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John Ehret, and father-in-law Merlyn Fritsch.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and caregivers who have provided such loving care to Loralee over the last few weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday June 29, 2015 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Cobb with burial to follow in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Sunday June 28, 2015 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Monday morning.
