Mt. Hope – Leo P. Quinn, age 71, died on Wednesday morning May 28, 2014 at his residence in Mt. Hope Township, Grant Co., WI. Leo was born on July 5, 1942 in Lancaster, WI the son of Leo H. and Anna Marie (Morgan) Quinn.
Following graduation from Fennimore High School, Leo went to work on the family farm. He truly loved farming and loved the land he worked his entire life in Mt. Hope Township. Leo was dedicated to his family, his Lord, and was a faithful lifelong member the St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church. He enjoyed collecting antique tractors, reading antique magazines, and cherished his wonderful conversations with family.
Leo is survived by his siblings; Marlys (Robert) Buechner of Madison, Kathy (Lyle) Foley of Montfort, and Mary Markus of Dodgeville, and nieces and nephews; Mark (Teresa) Buechner of Waunakee, Michael (Laura) Buechner of Hancock, Todd Buechner of Madison, Brian (Tricia) Foley of Livingston, Amy (John) Griswold of Montfort, and Steve Foley of Sun Prairie.
Leo was preceded in death by his father Leo on March 5, 1982, mother Anna on March 21, 2006, and a brother Patrick Quinn on March 31, 1999.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday June 2, 2014 at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Mt. Hope Township, Grant Co., WI with burial to follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4-6:00 P.M. on Sunday afternoon June 1, 2014 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore where a Rosary service will be held at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Sunday evening.
