Jeanette Kirkpatrick, age 86, of Lancaster and formerly of Montfort, died on Sunday evening Feb. 28, 2016 at Orchard Manor in Lancaster. Jeanette was born on May 16, 1929 in Dodgeville, WI the daughter of Forest and Wilma (Ellefson) Kirkpatrick.
Jeanette was a kind-hearted person who loved to be around people, especially children. She enjoyed visiting with neighbors in Montfort and watching Lawrence Welk and the Price is Right on Television. Jeanette resided in Montfort with her sister and caretaker Dorothy her entire life before moving to Orchard Manor five years ago.
Jeanette is survived by her sister Dorothy Kirkpatrick of Montfort, brother Jim (Carol) Kirkpatrick of Platteville, nieces Susan and Jana, and nephew Todd.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard Kirkpatrick, niece Jodi Witcher, and nephew Ritchie Kirkpatrick.
A private graveside service and burial of cremains will take place at a later date at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Montfort.
