Grover J. Weber III

Grover J. Weber III, age 61, of Cassville, died on Sunday January 22, 2017, at Southwest Health Center in Platteville. Grover was born on Oct. 5, 1955 in Green Bay, WI, the son of Grover Jr. and Helen (Flesch) Weber. He married Linda Bradfield on May 31, 1980 at St. John’s Episcopal Catholic Church in Dubuque, IA.

Following graduation from Lancaster High School in 1974, Grover attended Southwest Tech in Fennimore receiving a degree in auto body repair. He worked as an auto body technician in Dubuque, Platteville and Lancaster until opening his own shop, Auto Plus, in Lancaster. Grover operated Auto Plus for 5 years before starting his own trucking business, Advantage Transportation LLC, in 1991. Grover drove truck until retiring due to his health in 2009. He enjoyed spending time with his family participating in all kinds of motorsports including boating, snowmobiling, circle track racing and go karting. He was currently building a pro street ranger and was known for his 4-wheel drive Pinto, “Mud Magician”. Grover was a hard working man who enjoyed all the adventures life had to offer. The family would like to thank Dr. White and the staff at Southwest Health Center and Grant County Nurse Selina Baus for their compassionate care and support.

Grover is survived by his beloved wife Linda of Cassville, four children and seven grandchildren; Grover “Buddy” Weber IV of Davenport, IA and his children JoseyLu, Gavon and Kaisy Weber, Megan Weber of Bloomington and her children Connor, Bryce and Levi Mason, Nathan Weber of Lancaster and his son Wyatt Weber and Jordan Weber (Kaitlyn Oyen) of Cassville, sister Lynn (Jay) Weber-Hall of Detroit, MI, aunt Elsi Weber of Racine, in-laws June and Duane Bradfield of Dubuque, and brother and sister-in-laws; Cindy (Dave) George of Dubuque, Sue (Duane) Decker of Dubuque and Mike (Lonnie) Bradfield of Anderson, IN.

Grover was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Thursday evening Jan. 26, 2017 at Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore and from 10:00 A.M until the time of service at St. Clement’s on Friday morning.
