Elizabeth “Betsy” Evelyn Mueller, age 90, of Dodgeville and formerly of Livingston, died on Monday morning Oct. 19, 2015 at Bloomfield Healthcare in rural Dodgeville. Elizabeth was born at home in Mifflin Township on Dec. 25, 1924 the daughter of Edward and Rosa (Markwardt) Mueller.
Betsy was born premature and her twin sister Eleanor died at birth. Betsy was a blessing to her parents. She graduated from Hazel Dell country school and Livingston High School with the class of 1942. Betsey was a bookkeeper her entire life and was always ready to help anyone. She was a loyal, kind, gentle and considerate person and was a lifetime member of the Livingston United Methodist Church.
Betsy is survived by her sister Hazel Smith of Dodgeville, niece Melva (Craig) Hillery of Darlington, nephews Gene Smith of Livingston and Jim Smith of Edmund along with three grand nieces and three grand nephews.
Betsy was preceded in death by her father in May 1981, mother in May 1983, and infant twin sister Eleanor in Dec. 1924.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday October 24, 2015 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort with burial to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Montfort. Pastor Kathy Jacobson will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home on Saturday morning. In lieu of plants and flowers, a memorial fund is being established in loving memory of Elizabeth E. Mueller.
