Dennis D. Oswald

Dennis OswaldWauzeka, WI-Dennis D. Oswald, age 60, died on Monday afternoon Sept. 28, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Wauzeka. Dennis was born on March 18, 1955 in Prairie du Chien, WI the son of Duane and Maxine (Lathrop) Oswald. He married Page Havens on Sept. 6, 1975 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Wauzeka.

Following graduation from Wauzeka High School in 1973, Dennis worked for Advance Transformer in Boscobel and Wick Homes in Mazomanie. Dennis was currently employed with the Village of Wauzeka, a job in which he truly loved for the past 23 years. Dennis was passionate about anything and everything to do with hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was a member of multiple wildlife organizations and attended many banquets. Dennis was very proud of and loved spending time in his “man cave” with his son-in-laws sharing stories, playing cards, and watching sporting events. Family always came first in Dennis’s life, never missing a daughter’s or grandchild’s sporting event or activity. He was truly a selfless man who would do anything for anyone. Grandpa Denny’s loving smile and caring personality will be cherished forever.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife Page of Wauzeka, four daughters; Dana (Justin) O’Brien of Fennimore, Misty (Ryan) Bunders, Tiffany (Ben) Dums, and Crystal (Jesse) Mezera all of Wauzeka, 13 grandchildren; Jordan, Gabby, Brooklyn, Deven, Isabella, Brody, Hudson, Carter, Caydon, Cooper, Bentley, Riley, and Andrew, mother Maxine Oswald of Wauzeka, siblings; Diane Mullikin of Eastman, Cheryl (Dave) Slaght of Wauzeka, Karen (Brian) Dombeck of Wauzeka, Deb Ward of Wauzeka, and David (Sue) Oswald of LaCrosse, and honorary brother Chad (Kristen) Williamson.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father Duane, grandchildren Brant and Ella Mezera, and brother-in-laws, David Ward and Larry Mullikin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday Oct. 2, 2015 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Wauzeka with Pastor Lynn Schreck officiating. Burial of his cremated remains will be at a later date in the Wauzeka Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. on Thursday Oct. 1, 2015 at Century Hall in Wauzeka and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church on Friday morning.
