Fennimore/Boscobel, WI-Audrey J. Karasek, age 80, died peacefully on Wednesday evening July 20, 2016 at Boscobel Care & Rehabilitation. She was born on June 18, 1936, in the Cobb area, the daughter of Ed and Mary Laufenberg. She was united in marriage to Cletus Karasek on Sept. 10, 1955. They worked very hard and made their living farming together on 50 acres just outside of Fennimore and together raised three children.
Audrey was a very social person and enjoyed spending time with friends over coffee, euchre games, and selling Avon. She also loved all sports and thoroughly loved watching games with her family. She truly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and held their visits very dear to her heart.
Audrey is survived by her Son Donnie (Darla) Karasek of Blue River, daughter LuAnn Mathews of Boscobel, daughter-in-law Pam Karasek(Dave Witter) of Lady Smith, five grandchildren; David (Cindy) Karasek, Dustin (Anna) Karasek, Jason (Amy) Mathews, Janelle Mathews (Matt Miller), Jamie Mathews, two great grandchildren Jackson and Chloe Karasek, brother Jim (Priscilla) Laufenberg, and a very special friend Stacey Ottman.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cletus on March 3, 2006, infant son David Karasek and son Dannie Karasek on March 18, 2012.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday July 25, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fennimore with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. on Sunday July 24, 2016 at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore where a Parish Rosary will be said at 8:00 P.M. Sunday evening. Visitation will also be held from 10:00-10:30 A.M. on Monday morning at the funeral home and online condolences may be made at www.larsonfuneralhomes.com.
