Arno E. Brendemuehl

Arno Eugene Brendemuehl, age 82, of Fennimore, died on Monday morning July 10, 2017 at the WI Veterans Home in King, WI. Arno was born on Sept. 15, 1934 in Lancaster the son of Oscar and Gladys (Iverson) Brendemuehl.

Arno graduated from Fennimore High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, proudly serving his country for 20 years.

After returning home, Arno owned and operated Arnie’s U-Fill in Fennimore for 15 years until his retirement. Arno enjoyed visiting with people, always had time to share a joke, and loved children. He was a very generous man with a big heart. Arno liked deer hunting with family and enjoyed being apart of the Santa’s Helpers program where he played Santa for numerous surrounding communities. Arno was an active member of the Fennimore American Legion and the DAV.

Arno is survived by his three siblings; Dale (Ruth) Brendemuehl of Arlington, MA, Alma Ritchie of Darlington, Bill (Kay) Brendemuehl of Kerkhoven, MN, sister-in-law Kieko Brendemuehl of Kenosha, WI and several special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arno was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ivan Brendemuehl and brother-in-law Royal Ritchie.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday July 22, 2017, at the Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore with burial of the cremated remains to follow in the Prairie Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home on Saturday morning.
