Annette M. Pierce

Annette PierceFennimore, WI-Annette M. Pierce, age 55, died on Sun Dec. 7, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her beloved family after a brief battle with cancer. Annette was born on June 27, 1959 in Dubuque, IA the daughter of Richard and Gertrude (Kammerude) Leslein. She married Scott Pierce on Feb. 17, 1995 in Galena, IL.

Annette worked at many food service jobs in Fennimore including assistant manager at Fennimore Foods and Kwik Trip, and manager at Carol’s Custard.  She has been employed at the Hodan Center in Mineral Point since June 2003, and has served as the Director of Food Service since Oct. 2008.  Annette’s extensive knowledge, managerial skills, and terrific customer service made her an ideal leader. Annette loved spending time with Scott, her “baby girls”, and her family including camping, Christmas shopping in Des Moines with her sisters and mother, getting together for the holidays, and grocery shopping at her home.  She especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Some of their favorite activities included going to the park, celebrating birthdays, and playing chess with her grandson Tristen. Annette’s dedication to family, hard work, and infectious smile will forever be remembered.

Annette is survived by her husband Scott Pierce of Fennimore, three daughters; Rebecca (Becky) Robinson, Catherine (Cathie) Robinson, and Cheyanne Pierce all of Fennimore, two grandchildren; Payten and Tristen Pierce, six siblings; Richard “Rick” Leslein and Peggy Reed of Gratiot, Tom (Jane) Leslein of Platte City, MO, Donna (Robert) Meier of East Dubuque, IL, Corrine (Edward) Lehman of Bellevue, IA, Darlene (Jerry) Dougherty of Platte City, MO, Kenny (Colleen) Leslein of Dubuque, IA along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents Dick and Gert Leslein.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday Dec. 10, 2014 at St. Peter Lutheran Church with burial of her cremated remains to be held at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday Dec. 9, 2014 at Larson Family Funeral Home in Fennimore and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Wednesday morning.
