Joseph C. Hoelzel, age 82, from Port Republic Virginia, died on Tuesday morning May 30, 2017 at ManorCare in Platteville. Joe had recently moved to the area to be closer to his children. He was born on May 23, 1935 in Beloit, WI the son of Albert and Lydia (Langer) Hoelzel. Joe served in the US Army from 1951 – 1954. He farmed in the Delevan, Wisconsin area until moving to Port Republic, Virginia in 1975. In 2015, he returned to Wisconsin and resided with his son Tim in Blanchardville. Arlene F. Fry, age 89, of Fennimore, passed away on Sunday morning May 14, 2017 at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore. She was born on April 10, 1928, in Patch Grove the daughter of George and Millicent (Dubel) Shepherd. Arlene was united in marriage to Kenneth S. Fry on Jan. 20, 1946 at the Fennimore United Methodist Church. Arlene graduated from Mount Hope High School in 1945. She and Kenny resided in Preston from 1950 until 2005. Connie was born on May 2, 1947 in Prairie du Chien, WI the daughter of Charles and Ivanelle (Galbrieth) Lull. She married Walter Edge on Oct. 1, 1966 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore. Donald Delbert Noyes, age 86, left this world to go RVing with his beloved wife, Alice Faye, on May 11, 2017 in Fennimore. Don passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Don was born April 7, 1931 in the Town of Germantown, Juneau County, to Roy H. and Alma (Runkel) Noyes, the fifth child of six in the family.
