Fennimore – Avis L. Edge, age 89, died peacefully on Sunday November 29, 2015. Avis was born on June 5, 1926 in Richland County, WI the daughter of Earl and Melinda (McNamer) West. She was united in marriage to Harry Edge on September 21, 1947. Avis and Harry enjoyed playing cards and dancing with their friends. Avis was known around the area for her baking of wedding and birthday cakes. She was an aide for the disabled for the Fennimore and River Ridge Schools for many years. She loved her job and considered the students an extension of her family. …

Fennimore, WI-Caroline J. Eisele, age 86, died on Monday morning, November 16, 2015 at her residence in Fennimore. She was born on July 28, 1929 in Boscobel, the daughter of Arthur and Gladys (Swenson) Nelson. Caroline was married to Harold Lester on June 2, 1951 until his untimely death and then was united in marriage to Francis Eisele on April 12, 1958. Caroline’s quick sense of humor, generosity, honesty, spunk and passion for life came through in all she did. Woodman, WI-Laurel E. Mook, age 94, died on Friday morning Nov. 13, 2015 at the Gundersen Medical Center in LaCrosse. Laurel was born on July 25, 1921 in Clayton Township Crawford County, WI the son of Fred and Bessie (Huffman) Mook. He was united in marriage to Nelda Stimpson on Jan. 3, 1947. Laurel graduated from Gays Mills High School in 1939 where he excelled in baseball, track and basketball. Laurel joined the Army Air Corps in 1942 and proudly served 33 months overseas in the Pacific during WWII. His last stop was Okinawa before being honorably discharged in 1946. …

Rewey, WI – David “Wolf” Wilkinson, age 56, of Rewey, died on Friday November 6, 2015 at UW-Hospital and Clinics in Madison. David was born on July 2, 1959 in Lancaster, WI the son of Edgar and Laurene (Carter) Wilkinson.   He married Susan Smith on August 22, 1992 in Rewey. Following graduation from Iowa-Grant High School in 1978, David attended Southwest Tech in Fennimore where he earned a certificate in auto mechanics.
