Fennimore – William L. (Bill) Barnes, age 87, died on Saturday evening Nov. 29, 2014 at William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital in Madison.  William was born on Feb. 10, 1927 in Switzerland County, Indiana the son of Harold and Aldean (Mier) Barnes. He married Charlotte Whitish (Kabele) on March 29, 1980. Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army serving from May 14, 1945 until being honorably discharged on Dec. 6, 1946. He worked as a dairy farmer and cattle buyer. He worked very hard traveling the country buying and selling cattle along with working with CBR of Fennimore. Bill loved …

Mark P. Napp

Mark P. Napp, age 94 of Fennimore, died on Saturday evening Nov. 29, 2014, at Orchard Manor in Lancaster.  Mark was born on March 23, 1920, on his family farm in Fennimore Twsp., Grant Co., WI, the middle child of John and Margaret (Draves) Napp. Mark served in the Field Artillery and Army Air Corp in WWII from 1942 to 1946.  He took his basic training in heavy field artillery at Ft. Bragg, NC and was sent to Guadalcanal.  He then transferred to the Army Air Corp where he was sent to weather school and served in the South Pacific …

Mt Hope, WI-James D. Collins, age 64, died unexpectedly on Monday afternoon November 17, 2014 at his residence in Mt. Ida Township, rural Mt. Hope, WI. James was born on June 7, 1950 in Lancaster, WI, the son of Frank and Mary (Leighton) Collins.

Fennimore – Leonard Cottingham, age 91 of Fennimore died on Saturday afternoon Nov. 15, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society in Fennimore. Leonard was born on June 16, 1923 in Mt. Ida Township, Grant Co., WI the son of Will and Harriet (Paul) Cottingham. He was united in marriage to June Loy on May 16, 1942 in Dodgeville. Leonard graduated from Fennimore High School in 1940. REV. FATHER GEORGE BERNARD HORATH, age 79, passed away at Gundersen Boscobel Area Health Care on Sun., Nov. 2, 2014. He was born the second of five children on Oct. 4, 1935, in Chicago, and is predeceased by his parents, William and Mary [Martin] Horath, Rev. Fr. Bill Horath, and infant brother Robert.
