Dorothy Doan, age 84 of Prairie du Chien and formerly of Fennimore, died on Wed. August 27, 2014 at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Society.  Dorothy was born on June 26, 1930 in Werley, WI the daughter of J. Leonard and Monica (Meinertz) Fry.  She married Royce Doan on July 17, 1948. Following graduation from Fennimore High School, Dorothy worked as an operator at the Fennimore Telephone Company. After her marriage to Royce, Dorothy did the bookkeeping for her husband’s fuel oil business until their retirement. Elizabeth Emma “Betty” Soman age 99 years of Dodgeville, WI, formerly of Montfort and Green Bay, WI passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Betty was born October 10, 1914 in Algoma, Wisconsin, the daughter of Fred and Emma (Leiberg) Wedewart. She graduated in 1930 from Green Bay’s West High School, attended Business College in Green Bay, and worked in sales and accounting for Kaap’s Bakery and Candy Shop in downtown Green Bay. Fennimore, WI-Robert “Bob” D. Andrews, age 78 died on Saturday morning Aug. 23, 2014 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, IA. Bob was born on Feb. 19, 1936 in Patch Grove the son of Harry and Evelyn (Fullbright) Andrews. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Welsh on June 26, 1955 in Boscobel. Bob graduated from Boscobel High School and went to work driving a route for Sunbeam. He was then employed at John Deere of Dubuque as a machinist for 30 years until his retirement in 1991. Rewey, WI – Sarah Wilberta Ogden, age 95, died on Thursday afternoon August 21, 2014 at Manor Care in Platteville. She was born on Sept. 2, 1918 in Knox, Indiana, the daughter of Roy and Anna (Kline) Hibray. Sarah met and married the love of her life, Cecil Ogden on March 6, 1937 in Martin, South Dakota. Sarah and Cecil made their living while raising their family on the farm. She was a very hard worker along with being an awesome “Mom”.
